Who I Am
I'm Catherine L. Taylor, a weight loss/life coach, mindfulness teacher, and emotional eating expert who has been helping women transform their relationship with food and their bodies for over a decade now. I am also the author of the ebooks "Affirmations for Weight Loss and Wellness," "Visualization for Weight Loss", and "The Law of Attraction for Weight Loss."
My life's mission is to bring people out of the shadows of overeating and into the light of joy. I help people make peace with food, lose weight with joy, and blossom into the person they were always meant to be.
I personally understand the pain and struggle of feeling out of control and being consumed by thoughts of food, weight, and dieting. When I was just a teenager, I was told to lose 10 lbs. for modeling. This was the trigger that set off a 13 year struggle with food and weight obsession in the form of binge eating disorder alternating with fad diets and exercise bulimia. I would consume huge quantities of food and then diet and exercise the weight off, only to repeat the cycle over and over again.
This ultimately cost me my health in the form of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which took me years to recover from. I have over 25 years of recovery from overeating now, and I have never dieted since. My passion is sharing my wisdom with others so they can experience the same freedom and success.
Who This Program is For
The goals of this program are to become more balanced in mind and body, develop strategies and practices that allow you to achieve your goals, learn to eat and live in a more mindful, intuitive way, learn how to connect deeply with yourself and your inner wisdom, let go of limiting thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, learn how to deal your feelings and stress in healthier ways, learn new ways to nurture yourself (that aren't time consuming), and feed your deeper hungers. When this happens, emotional eating begins to fade away and food begins to take its proper place in your life.
People who eat overeat often don't realize that their issue with food and weight isn't the real problem. It's only a symptom - a symptom of how they are living their life. If your life is stressful, then you will turn to food to cope with that stress. If your life lacks pleasure and excitement, you will turn to food looking for pleasure and excitement. If you try to control and restrict your food, you will become obsessed with food and overeat. You eat how you are.
Coaching is all about action, because insight without action is worthless. You must be open, ready, and willing to do something different so that you can finally achieve the results you're looking for!

How Group Coaching Works
Group coaching provides structure, and the guidance and support you need in order to be successful. The beauty of group coaching is that as you listen to others' similiar experiences and struggles, you will see yourself in them. Because of this, the group format can foster and accelerate new learning, insight, and growth.
Note: You will not be forced to speak and participate. You are encouraged to do so, but if you just want to listen that's ok too. Nor, do you even need to attend the live calls. You can get the assignments and recordings the next morning. The most important thing is that you're willing to put the assignments into practice.
The group will meet for a total of 6 sessions starting September 19,2018 meeting every other week over a period of 3 months. Each session is a 30-45 minute live coaching call with me. If you can't attend the live calls, no worries, as each will be recorded and sent to you the next day along with the weekly assignments.
I am using teleconferencing that is free to you as long as you have free long distance. It also includes international local call in numbers for most major countries. If you have a question of whether your country is included, contact me at my website. Canada isn't included.
If you're country isn't included, you can still get the call recordings and assignments the next day. The link is at the very bottom of this page. You will have daily access to a private Facebook group as well where you will receive daily support and inspiration.
During each call, we will go over the previous week's assignment and then turn over the session to the group to answer questions, brainstorm, and coach individual participants. You will be given tools, strategies, and personalized feedback from me so that you can effectively utilize the information we are covering. We will discuss where you're stuck or struggling, and what you can do about it. I will then introduce the chosen topic and talk for about 30 mins.
For purposes of anonymity, during coaching calls, group members will be addressed by first name only.
Along with each session, you will receive customized handouts and assignments designed by me. Each week, you will receive a new assignment.
As a special bonus, you will receive a private 30 minute individual coaching session ($95 value) with me. You can use this time during the 12 week session or several weeks afterwards, so that you can receive my personal support.
During this private time, we will work on any areas that are holding you back from being successful losing weight or causing you to eat emotionally. You will come away with personalized strategies to help you move forward.

Each coaching call is 30-45 mins. I use teleconferencing that includes free local call in international numbers for most countries, except for Canada. If your country isn't listed or you can't attend because of time zone or shedule, you can still participate in the program. The recordings are emailed out to you the next day. You will own these recordings so that you can reference them in the future.

How Much Time is Required to Participate in The How You do Food is How You do Life Program?®
You will be spending 30-45 minutes a week on the calls and another half hour - 1 hour each week reading and applying the materials. Your life is your actual practice, so you will be applying what you learn during the course of your regular routine. Of course, you may be creating new habits or routines, so you may want to allow time for these.
The calls will be recorded, so if you miss a session, or want to listen to them again, they are yours to keep.
